When selling tickets, airlines are responsible for checking the negative COVID-19 confirmation issued by the local authorities. The airline must send the airport authority a list of passengers expected to make the flight 12 hours prior to the scheduled departure time and a detailed list of the passengers for the flight 30 minutes prior to the actual flight departure time.

Entities allowed to enter, immigration procedures and Vietnam's conditions for those who want to enter before boarding the plane (body temperature check, install electronic medical declaration application (NCOVI), confirmation paper) received a COVID-19 negative RT-PCR issued by the local health authority within 3 days prior to boarding (except for some locations that did not issue this document).

The Aviation Administration also requires the airline, in case of transporting passengers in transit from a third country, should arrange a separate cabin for those transiting from the third country to enter Vietnam, not sitting together. Entities entering from 6 areas: China (Guangzhou), Japan (Tokyo), Korea (Seoul), Taiwan, China (Taipei), Cambodia (Phnom Penh), Laos (Vientiane). Apply strict epidemic prevention measures to ensure safety against epidemics.
